Design & Solutions Center

The Kista design and solutions center started in 2005 with the foundation of TranSiC AB, pioneering in the design and process technology of SiC power devices. In 2011, Fairchild acquired TranSiC and later in 2016, the Kista site became part of onsemi when Fairchild was acquired. Since 2013, the onsemi Sales in Nordics and Sales and FAE center for the Ericsson account are part of the Kista site.

The site is located next door to the Electrum Laboratory and Semiconductor research center, governed by the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in collaboration with RISE, where we are able to prototype and test our designs hands-on.

Kista Science city is considered by many as the Scandinavian Silicon Valley and is located just a few kilometers northwest of the city center of Stockholm, a city being the home of Skype, Spotify, Candy Crush, Minecraft, IZettle and other start-ups.
