降圧スイッチング・レギュレータ LM2575 は、容易で使いやすいステップダウン・スイッチング・レギュレータ (降圧コンバータ) の設計に最適なモノリシック集積回路です。このシリーズのすべての回路では、優れた活線/負荷レギュレーションにより、1.0 A の負荷を駆動できます。3.3 V、5.0 V、12 V、15 V の固定出力電圧で提供されますが、出力が調整可能なバージョンもあります。外付け部品の数を最小限にする設計であるため、電源設計がシンプルになります。LM2575 で利用するために最適化されたインダクタの標準シリーズは、複数のインダクタ・メーカが提供しています。LM2575 コンバータはスイッチモード電源であるため、よくある 3 端子活線レギュレータと比較して大幅に効率が高くなっています。特に高いのは入力電圧です。多くの場合、LM2575 レギュレータによる電力損失が非常に低いため、ヒートシンクが必要なくなるか大幅に縮小できます。LM2575 で保証される許容度は、仕様の範囲内にある入力電圧/出力負荷状態での出力電圧が +/-4%、発振器周波数が +/-10% (0C ～ 125C で +/-2%) です。外部シャットダウン機能もあります。スタンバイ電流は 80 uA (公称) です。出力スイッチではサイクル単位で電流制限をするのに加え、故障状態でサーマル・シャットダウンにより完全に保護します。
